Original Oil - 20" x 20" x 1.5"
Two years of Covid restrictions has been a trial for us all. I feel fortunate that some isolation, and a vast panorama (I live on a cliff with a 100 mile view) feed my soul. I am drawn to the high desert and the sound of silence. Much of my work is painted to convey this sense of peace to others.
Artist Statement:
Being a native of the west informs my work. My family settled in the west in 1852 and while I have had the fortune to travel quite a bit, it is the beauty of the west that drives me to paint. Whether it is a panorama, or a quiet intimate setting, my perspective is of the west.
