This is an artist proof block print using water-soluble ink from the Sisters High School art class.

 

Artist Statement:

I think I chose this design because the moon reminds me of my friend Grace, who died on September 27, 2021. I think that the moon is beautiful no matter how it looks, if it's small, pretty or if it's big and full of light. Gracie was the same way and when I look at the moon, it's a great reminder that she's still with me, we're just far apart.
