The Promise of a New Dawn

Estimated Value:$300

bySierra Henneous

Sierra is a student in the Americana Project art class at Sisters High School.

“I’ve been really interested in art – especially painting – since before my first class of freshman year. I’m now a senior and beginning to sell/donate my art, which makes me so happy.” Sierra is the winner of the Pamela Hulse Andrews Student Achievement Award, given each year during My Own Two Hands to the student artist and artwork that represents excellence and achievement of their work and contribution to their school and community. SHS art teacher Bethany Gunnarson notes, “Sierra is dedicated, thoughtful, and giving with her work, and I know that the arts are a really important part of her life. I know that she will always be involved in the arts one way or another, passing it along and helping others.”
