Brad Tisdel  Creative Director

Brad Tisdel is a creative spirit, musician and educator, and has lived in Sisters since 1995. He co-founded and helped create the Americana Project, the Americana Song Academy, and the annual fundraiser My Own Two Hands. Brad believes in community integration and connection and has helped steer the non-profit Sisters Folk Festival Inc into being a year-round cultural arts organization. Brad, a native Oregonian, loves the beauty and solitude of Sisters Country and enjoys sharing it with his wife, Tiffany, and their son, Spencer.

Steven Remington  Development Director 

Steven comes to Sisters Folk Festival after serving stints at Minnesota’s St. Paul Winter Carnival, Idaho’s Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and several of Oregon’s iconic festivals including da Vinci Days, Waterfront Blues Festival, Eugene Celebration, and the Oregon Truffle Festival. He has taught event management as an adjunct faculty member for Arizona State University’s Hospitality and Tourism program, the University of Oregon’s Arts and Administration graduate program, and in the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton School of Music. He and his wife Kat, a Eugene native, have lived in Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, and Ashland and moved to Sisters in 2017.

Kate Donovan Events Manager

Kate enjoys uncovering opportunities for community engagement and integration. She comes to the Sisters Folk Festival from Bend Park and Recreation District where she delivered programming for participants in the Therapeutic Recreation department. Much of her work has been in the recreation and leisure field. Her current interests include traveling with her partner Ben, trail running with Sunny dog, learning to watercolor, and practicing yoga.

Dave Ehle
Operations Manager

Dave brings a mix of experience in education, music, and outdoor pursuits to the Sisters Folk Festival. As a long-time outdoor educator with organizations such as Outward Bound, Dave knows the value of collaboration and perseverance to achieve challenging goals. As a musician and teacher, Dave sees the power of music as a catalyst for change and growth, as well as inspiration for our daily lives. Dave is an alumni of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned his Master’s Degree from the Evergreen State College. Dave enjoys extended time floating rivers, playing music, and is an avid cribbage player.
